Do you offer same day garage door service?
Yes. We offer same day service across the Greater Calgary Area wherever the schedule allows, and we give you a time window when you call rather than a vague "sometime today". Our hours are 7am to 10pm, seven days a week.
How much does garage door spring replacement cost?
$185 to $250 for a pair of torsion springs, including the inspection, lubrication and tune up that goes with the job, backed by a 2 year warranty on the springs. We replace both springs rather than just the broken one, because the second is the same age with the same cycle count and replacing one alone usually means a second call within months. What moves the number inside that range is door weight, spring cycle rating, and whether the cables or bearings need doing at the same time.
How long does a spring replacement take?
About an hour for a standard residential door once we are on site. A door that also needs cables, bearings or a drum reset takes longer, and we tell you that before we start rather than after.
What areas do you serve?
Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks and Rocky View County. There is no travel fee anywhere in that area. The price is the price wherever you are in it.
Do you charge for an estimate or a service call?
No. Estimates are free and there is no service call or diagnostic fee on a repair visit. We quote a flat price before any work starts and the quote is what you pay. There is also no weekend, evening or holiday surcharge.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Standard repairs carry a 1 year warranty and spring replacements carry 2 years. We are licensed, bonded and insured, and our technicians are our own employees rather than subcontractors.
Do you work on all garage door opener brands?
We are factory trained on LiftMaster and Chamberlain and we service the other common residential brands as well. A new opener supplied and installed runs $650 to $1,250 depending on drive type and horsepower.
Can you repair a single panel, or do I need a whole new door?
Often a single panel can be replaced rather than the whole door. It depends on the door's make, age and whether matching panels are still available. We tell you honestly which way it goes before quoting, including when a new door is the better spend.
Do you service commercial or roll up doors?
We focus on residential garage doors. If you have a commercial or roll up door we are not the right fit, and we would rather tell you that on the phone than after a visit.
How often should a garage door be serviced?
Once a year for a door in regular daily use. That is what the $130 to $190 tune up covers: lubrication, spring tension check, cable and track inspection, hardware tightening and a safety sensor test. Doors that cycle several times a day, or that sit on the weather side of the house, are worth doing annually without fail.
